Intervention Services

TLC Rural Psychology welcomes referrals from paediatricians and GP's however they are not always needed depending on the intervention you are seeking. A specialist or GP referral can be used for a mental health care plan (Medicare rebated session). However for all other services, a referral is no necessary.

Mental Health Care Plans

Mental Health care/treatment plans (MHCP) must have a valid and in date referrals. With a MHCP, you are initially eligible for 6 sessions which you pay at time of session, and then you can claim the medicare rebate via the app or by visiting the medicare office. If you require more than 6 sessions, a review letter is provided by your psychologist at TLC for you to re-visit your GP and they can refer for the additional 4 sessions you may be eligible for.

The current Medicare Rebate amount is $98.95 per session.

Private Intervention

Private Intervention services are full fee paying clients. You do not need a referral for this type of intervention and self referring or parent initiated private clients are more than welcome at TLC.

NDIS funded Clients

NDIS funded clients are welcomed at TLC. To commence NDIS funded psychology services you must either be a self managed or plan managed NDIS recipient with plan manager approval/funding. Our first contact will be a meeting to develop a service agreement and plan that is targeted to your NDIS goals.

Consultation

TLC Rural Psychology provides consultation to service providers, teachers and parents, to help guide and implement appropriate support, intervention, accommodations and adjustments. Outside agencies and rural outreach services

TLC Rural Psychology also work with outside agencies to provide specialise assessment and intervention outreach services to a wide region across NSW and northern Victoria including remote locations.
